More than 60 years ago, a commercial crab fisherman in Ladner started building traps for his own boat. Other fishermen noticed how well they worked. Before long, the traps were being built for local crews, and the name Ladner Trap became known on the water.

In 1984, new ownership expanded Ladner Traps into a broader range of commercial trap products.
